After having spent almost 30 years studying and working as an apprentice in watch factory in Hong Kong, Steven Tao founded the watch company, TAO International, with his father in the early 1978s. Tao decided to name the company after his hometown in USA. In New York, Tao and his father in imported mechanics and assembled and sold his timepieces to worldwide.
